Our Effective 6 Step Upholstery Cleaning Process

1. Pre Clean Walk-Through

Performing a professional evaluation of our customer’s upholstery before we start the cleaning process is the first step to a great professional clean. Since not every clean is the same, the pre-clean walkthrough gives our technician the opportunity to diagnose what treatments will have the best results for our customer’s needs.

2. Treatment Evaluation

While looking at the upholstery areas to be professionally cleaned, our technician may see some spots or stains that may need specialty treatment in order to be addressed properly. During the treatment evaluation the technician may recommend some optional treatments to our customers that will make for optimal cleaning results.

3. Pre-Treatment and Pre-Spotting

Once we are ready to begin the cleaning process, we pre-treat and pre-spot all upholstery areas to be cleaned to ensure the most effective clean possible. This service is standard and is included in every professional carpet clean that we perform. Providing our customers with a pre-treatment to break down soiling before cleaning is key to removing the soils from the upholstery during the extraction process.

4. Soil Agitation Process

For every upholstery cleaning that we perform, there is always at least one stubborn area that needs extra attention. In the agitation process, we address those stubborn areas by working in the cleaning agents and breaking down the stubborn spots to prepare for the cleaning extraction process.

5. Steam Cleaning

After prepping the areas to be cleaned, we use powerful truck-mounted steam cleaning units to break down and extract the dirt and soiling found in your upholstery. Although there are several different methods of upholstery cleaning, truck-mounted steam cleaning is the most highly recommended treatment among most manufacturers.

6. Final Rinse

During the steam cleaning extraction process, the final rinse extraction is the final step to neutralize and rinse the upholstery so that no residue is left behind. Using a rinsing agent to cleanse the upholstery is an important step that will help it stay cleaner, for longer.
